MedExamPrep, operated by Neomed, respects users’ privacy and handles account deletion requests subject to applicable laws and legitimate record-retention requirements. Personal information no longer required for a lawful purpose will be deleted or appropriately anonymized after the deletion process.
1. How to request account deletion
Use the in-app account deletion option:
- Open the MedExamPrep application.
- Go to your account or profile settings.
- Select Delete Account.
- Review the information about the consequences of deletion.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm and submit your request.
If you cannot access your account or submit a request in the application, contact support at [Insert official support email address]. Neomed may request reasonable verification of account ownership to prevent unauthorized deletion requests.
2. Processing period
Neomed aims to complete valid account deletion requests within 30 calendar days after successful submission and any necessary verification. Neomed will initiate and complete deletion of eligible personal information from active systems during this period.
The 30-day period does not require deletion of records that must be retained for a legal obligation or another legitimate permitted purpose. Where information must be retained, its use will be restricted to that purpose and it will be kept only as long as necessary or legally required.
3. Information that may be deleted
Subject to applicable legal duties and legitimate retention requirements, deletion may cover:
- Account and profile information, including name, registered mobile number, profile details and other personal account information.
- Authentication-related account identifiers and records that are no longer required.
- Learning activity, including test attempts, submitted answers, scores, learning history and progress.
- Saved content, including bookmarked questions, saved learning materials and other user-specific saved items.
- Personalization data and other account-linked personal information no longer needed for the service or a lawful purpose.
Irreversibly anonymized information that can no longer reasonably identify an individual may be retained for statistical analysis or service improvement.
4. Financial, subscription and legal records
Subscription purchases, transaction history, payment confirmations, receipts, invoices, refunds, chargebacks, subscription dates and cancellation records may need to be retained for accounting, tax, payment-provider, contractual, legal, security or dispute-resolution purposes. Such records may be retained beyond the 30-day processing period. Where feasible, they will be separated from the active account and limited to information needed for the relevant purpose. Neomed will not retain an entire user profile solely because a limited financial record must be preserved.
Deleting your MedExamPrep account does not necessarily cancel a recurring subscription managed by an external app store or payment provider. Cancel separately through the provider that manages your subscription to prevent future renewals. Refunds, remaining access and billing matters follow the applicable subscription terms and provider policies.
5. Legal, regulatory and security retention
Limited information may be retained when necessary to comply with laws, regulations, court orders or lawful requests; meet accounting, tax or financial recordkeeping obligations; establish, exercise or defend legal claims; investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized transactions or security incidents; resolve disputes or complaints; or enforce applicable terms and protect rights, safety and security. Only information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose will be retained. It will be deleted or anonymized when that purpose expires and no further lawful basis remains.
6. Backups and technical logs
Information may remain temporarily in backups, disaster-recovery copies or technical logs after deletion from active systems. Where immediate removal is not technically feasible, it remains protected and will be removed under the applicable backup or log-retention schedule. If a backup is restored, Neomed will take reasonable steps to reapply deletion requests where needed. Technical logs may be retained for a limited period for security, troubleshooting, fraud prevention or compliance.
7. Third-party service providers
Neomed may use service providers for hosting, authentication, payment processing, subscription management and other technical services. Neomed will take reasonable steps, consistent with applicable agreements and legal requirements, to communicate deletion instructions for eligible information processed on its behalf. Providers may independently retain limited transaction, security or compliance records where they have their own legal obligations or lawful reasons.
8. What happens after account deletion
After deletion is completed, you will no longer be able to access that account. Eligible learning progress, test history, answers, bookmarks and other associated personal information will be deleted and may not be recoverable. Account-linked personalized learning services will no longer be available, and you may need to register a new account to use MedExamPrep again. Limited information retained for legal, financial, security or compliance purposes remains subject to applicable restrictions and retention periods. Deletion does not reverse completed payments or guarantee a refund.
